As a new client of our pet hospital in Lewisville, TX, you can expect our full attention to your pets’ needs.

When you arrive for your appointment, you will be greeted warmly by our Reception Team, and we’ll usher you into an examination room after checking in and getting a current weight on your pet. We will give you an Appointment Checklist with some general information about your pet’s specific visit, and a list of questions you will likely want to get answered today.

One of our exam room technicians will start by asking about your pet’s medical history, current condition and the reason for your visit, gathering data for the doctor. We may even show you a brief educational video pertaining to your pet’s appointment.

Then, Dr. Gray or one of his Associate Veterinarians will examine your pet, ask you further questions and then may recommend diagnostic tests if needed. Once the tests have been run, which can usually be done in the practice, the doctor will discuss a possible diagnosis and treatment plan if warranted. This time with Dr. Gray or one of his Associate Veterinarians is one of the things that sets Timber Valley Pet Hospital apart from most other veterinary practices. We try to schedule adequate time for each appointment so there is no need to rush. Our veterinarians genuinely enjoy informing and educating clients about their pet’s needs, so we invite all clients to make the most of this one-on-one time with the doctor during your appointment.

This is a great time to ask questions. Our veterinary team wants to make sure you’re completely comfortable with the information we’re providing. You can use your Appointment Checklist to record valuable information, and our team will also provide you with an Exam Report Card showing the veterinarian’s notes and medical findings today.

Our exam room technicians will likely come back to wrap things up and will provide you with helpful pet care information and answer wellness and preventive care questions for you. We will even print articles from our website library relevant to your pet’s specific visit today. Our Reception Team will schedule any needed follow-up and process your payment.

Please note: Our goal is to see all our clients and patients on time, and although we have contingencies for emergencies, there will be times where the unexpected will create delays. We will ensure these are minimized as much as possible.
